I am an adventurer and entrepreneur with an obsession with travel, and a desire to photograph every bit of this planet.
I found my love of photography when I was 24 when I decided to invest in my first camera. Something about capturing a fleeting moment, a point in time that may never be seen again, really captured my interest. And ever since then I just can't put my camera down. I fell in love with wedding photography because of the pure emotion that happens at every single wedding. It is so humbling the amount of love that is in the world and that couples allow me to be a part of their amazing day.
I am a story teller with my images. Documenting the day in its entirety without interfering. Capturing the beauty, the emotion, that wild spontaneity. A story that you will remember for the rest of your life, in exactly the same way that it actually happened. My favorite part of the day is spending time with just the two of you. Focusing on photography that truly captures the intimate love between newlyweds. While the fire is still burning brightly.

I've heard "We are very awkward in front of the camera" more than you think. My response is always, "GOOD! Embrace it!". Believe it or not, being awkward is what creates those unexpected moments of real laughter and guess what...I get awkward in front of the camera too, so I feel you. The good news is, I’ve got yoU.
I believe in treasuring each moment and living life to the fullest. Photography is my passion and I love telling stories of love. Whether it be the story of your wedding or your story after the wedding, I love documenting life and creating and capturing moments.
Over the two years that I have been photographing weddings, I have found that the best experience for our clients can happen when we click with each other. Your wedding is such a special day and it's important to us that we have a connection! We are going to be with you all day and I believe that if you are comfortable with me then you're going to be comfortable in front of the camera.

Hi! My name is Christa, and I am an Arizona based photographer who was born and raised in Arizona. My biggest passion is photography and my pups, and being a photographer allows me to capture the unique and valuable moments of life. Ever since I was a child, I loved taking pictures because I believed that photos were a "time machine" for me. Some of the things that make me happy: traveling, meeting and getting to know new people, reading books and watching sunsets. I specialize in: wedding, and videography. I've known that photography was my passion from a very young age. Whether I was running around taking photos of my friends or snapping shots of every plant, tree, and sunset, I always had a camera in my hand. Even back in 2010, I was taking product photos of everything I owned (they weren't very good back then).
The only things I love as much as photography is my family, friends, and dogs. I love dogs. Part of me is shocked I didn't become a pet photographer, but another part of me knows I wouldn't get any photos taken because I'd be too busy playing and loving on the pups.
Years of experience with photography has made me an expert in the field. I've been published in Arizona's Finest Wedding Sites and Services and had partnerships with big brands like Sheraton Hotels, Kaleidoscope Juice, and Huss Brewing Company. With 22 brand partnerships so far, I created a name for myself in the community and I can't wait to see what the future brings!

Are you adventurous? Do the simple things in life mean the most to you? Are you open to a short hike on your wedding day, or maybe getting a little dirt on your shoes? If so, we’re likely a great fit. My clients value real-life moments, whether captured in simple spaces or grand locations. They’re drawn to both the outdoors and the city, to the vibrancy of life and love. They see photography as an investment in their present, for their future. They trust my vision and value my input.
My style is rooted in creativity, minimalism, and authenticity. I’m an artist first and a photographer second, with a photojournalistic approach focused on capturing natural, unposed moments. My goal is for clients to enjoy their day without feeling like they need to perform, experiencing each moment in real time.

02. What's your primary style?
I feel like I can use these three words to define my style: Emotional, Vibrant and Natural. I don’t mean to sound redundant, but I truly do love candid real life moments. I love passion. I love being able to capture the bond between a mother and her child or the way a man feels about his bride. So I do my best to set my shoots up to be able to successfully document these moments. I use structure when I need to, but I encourage and cultivate candid moments throughout my sessions.

03. We are super uncomfortable in front of the camera. Do you help us with that?
Absolutely, I’ll help you with this! In fact, I make a point to get in front of the lens with my own family each year.
Let’s be real—being on camera is tough. It’s awkward and uncomfortable, and you’ll probably wonder, “Do I look silly?” But here’s the truth: if you and your partner have chemistry, or if your family knows how to have fun together, your session will be amazing. It’s all about that natural connection! As a photographer, I can’t create it—it’s either there or it’s not. Your family is either playful or they’re reserved; you and your fiancé are either comfortable together or you’re not. My job is to document those real moments of affection, and I love every second of it. So remember this when I ask you to kiss and stay in his arms!
Parents, don’t stress if your kids act up—I love capturing those raw, real moments, even if they’re crying. Often, the reason behind it is pretty funny! The calmer you are, the more relaxed your kids will be. I’m in no rush, and as a mom, I truly understand.
So let your guard down, and I’ll make sure it shines through in the photos.

04. Tell me about your editing?
I edit every single image that I hand back to you. I am heavily influenced by film and most of my images emulate a plethora of different film packs. I edit about 66% in colour and 33% in black and white (give or take). Everything you get back will be edited the same as what you see on my website. I do not photoshop or liquify bodies nor do I superimpose images. Basic touchups are made only when something is extremely obtrusive to the imagery. If you require further touchup’s to your images, this can be done for an additional price on a picture by picture basis.

05. How long until I have my photos?
30-45 days depending on the time of year and my workload.

06. How quickly should I book you?
I take an extremely limited number of bookings each year so if you would like to book, I recommend booking sooner than later. I am typically booked 6+ months in advance for lifestyle sessions and 1-2 years in advance for weddings.

07. Should I provide lunch or dinner for you at my reception?
You are not obligated to provide dinner for me at your reception, however, if none is provided I will require 1 hour to go and grab dinner myself. This may leave room for shots missed as I will not be there to capture those “moments” while I’m eating.

08. What is your retainer and refund policy?
As per the contract you would sign – the retainer fee is non-refundable.
There are no refunds on any package unless otherwise stated in the contract.

09. What type of camera will the photographer use?
I currently use a Canon 5D Mark IV. I have multiple lenses that I can use during the day, including a 70-200mm, a 50mm, an 85mm, and a 35mm.

10. Will there be backup equipment available?
Yes. I have a backup Canon 5D Mark III along with other lenses.

11. Can other people take photos while you are taking photos?
Yes, as long as they are NOT in my way. I do recommend that you have your JP/Minister/Officient tell your guests not to stick their ipads/iphones down the isle as this truly distracts from your images. First and foremost, make me a priority. You did not pay other people to photograph your big day, you paid me. So let me do my job!
